WIFI Network Instability

Table of Contents

WIFI Network is not detected

If the WIFI network is not detected, follow the checklist below:

Step 1: Make sure you're using 2.4GHz

Make sure the WIFI network is broadcasting at 2.4GHz, not 5GHz. The WIFI dongle that ships with NOVA can only detect 2.4GHz networks. If you must use a 5GHz network, we suggest using your own 5GHz-compatible dongle.

Step 2: Check the WIFI dongle

Ensure the WIFI Dongle is plugged into one of the USB ports on NOVA.

Step 3: Refresh the network list

Refresh the Network List, the network may just need a refresh to show up.

WIFI Network is Unstable

If the WIFI network is unstable after connecting to it, you can connect directly to your network over an ethernet port. You may need to provide your IT department with a MAC address to get the machine approved to connect.

Connect over ethernet:

Step 1: Connect Ethernet

Connect an ethernet cable between your network access point and NOVA.

Step 2: Open WIFI Settings

Click the WIFI icon in the bottom left corner of the app to access Network Setup.

Step 3: Toggle Ethernet Mode

Click on the Ethernet tab, and toggle the ‘To Wall’ slider to switch to ethernet mode.

Step 4: Soft Reset

Soft reset the app with the power button icon in the bottom right of the app.
