1

Disconnect NOVA from power

Ensure that NOVA is turned off with the power button and then unplug the power cable.

2

Remove the backplate

With a T20 Torx bit remove the 6 screws (2 on the back side, 4 on the bottom of the panel) securing the back panel. Once the screws are out you can pull the back panel out by tilting it up slightly and then pulling away from the machine.

3

Remove the vacuum control board

Carefully detach all of the cables from the Vacuum control board.

Unscrew the 4 screws holding the control board in place with a T10 torx and remove the board.

4

Reattach the backplate

Put the back plate back into place and with a T20 Torx bit secure the 6 screws (2 on the back side, 4 on the bottom of the panel).

5

Turn NOVA on it's back.

Carefully rotate NOVA up onto it's back, a second set of hands are advised to safely maneuver the machine.

6

Remove bottom panel

With a T20 Torx bit, remove 10 of the 12 screws holding the back panel in place. Leaving the 2 top, central screws.

With a second set of hands holding the panel in place, remove the last 2 screws along with the bottom panel.

7

Remove the Sound Foam

Pull the foam back a little bit from the top, then pull the vacuum pump cable out from the foam so it is free.

With the cable free, fully remove the foam.

8

Detach the PVC hoses

Remove the two clear pvc hoses that feed NOVA's vacuum system. These are press fit, so a little wiggle while pulling on them will free them easily.

9

Remove the Vacuum Pump

With a 2.5 mm hex bit (or key), remove the 4 screws holding the vacuum pump in place. These are the screws inside the blue vibration dampers. To avoid it dropping from its mounts, start with the top two screws.

10

Replace the PVC hoses

To remove the existing clear PVC hoses, push up on the locking ring at the bottom of the black Y fittings and pull the hose down and out.

The replace the hoses, pushing them through the grommets and then into the Y fittings.

11

Install the New Vacuum Pump

Fix the new vacuum pump in place using the 4 screws and the 2.5 mm bit. Start with the bottom 2 screws to ensure it doesn't slip out of its mount.

Slide the clear pvc hoses into place on the vacuum pump.

12

Install the Sound Foam

First, thread the vacuum pump cable through the hole in the sound foam.

Carefully fit the foam over the vacuum pump ensuring the PVC hoses are routed nicely through the slots in the foam.

Also make sure the vacuum pump cable is routed downwards.

13

Install the Bottom Panel

With helping hands, install the bottom panel starting with the 2 top central screws.

Add in the remaining 10 screws to fully secure the bottom panel.

14

Place NOVA Down Again

Carefully rotate NOVA back down onto it's feet. Again, a second set of hands are advised to safely maneuver the machine.

15

Remove the backplate

With a T20 Torx bit remove the 6 screws (2 on the back side, 4 on the bottom of the panel) securing the back panel. Once the screws are out you can pull the back panel out by tilting it up slightly and then pulling away from the machine.

16

Install New Vacuum Control Board

Using a T10 Torx bit, install the 4 screws to hold the control board in place.

Install the new wire harness, power cable and vacuum cable into the vacuum control board.

The final result should look like this:

17

Reattach the backplate

Put the back plate back into place and with a T20 Torx bit secure the 6 screws (2 on the back side, 4 on the bottom of the panel).

18

Test the Vacuum

Plug NOVA into power, turn it on and load up the software. Navigate to the Gantry settings (Robot) in the bottom left corner of the software.

Toggle on and off the vacuum a few times to ensure it's functioning properly. If there is a problem please contact Voltera Support.
