1. Introduction
V-One is a precision tool for electronics prototyping. As with any such equipment, V-One and the accompanying materials and accessories should be handled with care. Please review the following material to ensure a safe work environment and to maintain optimal machine performance.
V-One is not only an excellent tool for the seasoned electrical engineer but it is also a great way to teach electronics. V-One is for use as-is. Any modifications to the machine or improper use without explicit approval and direction from Voltera may damage the machine, may cause bodily harm, and will void your warranty.
Never leave V-One unattended while in use and supervise young and inexperienced users to ensure safe operation. In case of emergency or prior to performing any maintenance, please ensure power cable is disconnected from V-One.
2. Markings and warning statements
All users of the machine must read this safety information carefully before using V-One. Improper use of V-One or use in a manner not specified by Voltera may result in impairment of protections and may present hazards such as electric shock, crushing injuries, or pinch points.
2.1 Mechanical hazards

V-One contains moving components that may cause pinch or crush injuries.
Keep hands and tools clear of the machine while it is operating.
Do not reach into the machine while motion is in progress.
Ensure all motion has stopped before interacting with the system.
2.2 Hot surfaces

The build surface may become hot during operation.
Do not touch the build surface while heated.
Allow sufficient time for cooling before handling.
Keep flammable materials away from heated areas.
2.3 Application-Specific materials and chemicals

Materials, inks, and cleaning agents used with V-One may present chemical, fire, or health hazards.
Only use materials recommended by Voltera.
Review all applicable safety data sheets (SDS) before use.
Do not mix unknown or incompatible chemicals.
Ensure adequate ventilation when using inks or solvents.
Isopropyl alcohol and inks may be flammable. Keep away from ignition sources.
Material safety is the responsibility of the user.
2.4 Electrical connections

Improper electrical use may result in electric shock or fire.
Connect only to a properly earthed outlet.
Do not touch electrical contacts while the system is powered.
Keep liquids away from electrical components.
Inspect power cables regularly and discontinue use if damaged.
Disconnect power before cleaning or maintenance.
If a fuse requires replacement, contact Voltera Support at [email protected]. A blown fuse may indicate a serious fault.
2.5 Personal protective equipment

Wear eye protection when handling inks or cleaning agents.

Wear protective gloves when handling chemicals or solvents.
2.6 Lifting and handling

V-One is designed as a one-person lift.
Lift only from the base of the unit.
Use proper lifting technique.
Ensure a stable surface before placement.
2.7 Do not disassemble

V-One contains no user-serviceable parts.
Do not open or disassemble the device.
Unauthorized modification or repair may result in injury and will void the warranty.

4. Disposal
At end of life, the Voltera V-One and its electronic components must be disposed of through an approved electronic-waste collection or recycling facility; do not dispose of the unit with household waste.
